Oats are cereals whereof Avena sativa is the most cultivated variety. Next to many antioxidants, oats contain soluble fibres, in the form of beta-glucans. Health-promoting properties such as reducing blood sugar levels, lowering cholesterol levels, promoting a healthy intestinal flora, and accelerating the feeling of satiety are attributed to these soluble fibres. Compared to other cultivated cereals, oats contain a high percentage of proteins with a varied amino acid profile. Considering the fact that some of these amino acids are of vital importance for human beings, oat products have a high biological and nutritional value.
Compared to other cereals, the fat content is the highest in oats. The fatty acid composition contains a positive proportion of poly-unsaturated and unsaturated fats. - Kilned Oat Groats
The whole and stabilised oat grains, derived from cleaned and sorted peeled white oats, are subjected to a heat treatment process. Herein, lypolytic enzymes (lipases and peroxidases) are deactivated while the characteristic oat flavor develops.

- Oat flakes
The whole and stabilised oat grains, derived from cleaned and sorted peeled white oats, are subjected to a second heat treatment procedure. Oat flakes are made by rolling out the oat grains.

- Oat pellets
Oat pellets are valorisation products resulting from the bypass flow of the deshelling of oats. The oat hulls are turned into pellets through compression. Their high percentage of crude fibre makes these pellets very adequate as a nutritional part of feed.
